The pop group KLEEBLATT - CENTURY

CENTURY was one of the most famous bands in Northern Bavaria until the early nineties.

History:

In 1977 the band signed a record contract with Phonogram after winning a talent competition held in Wuerzburg, Germany. In the following years they produced these singles:

  1st single:

With the second single KLEEBLATT changed into CENTURY because of international release.

„The face in the mirror“ became CENTURY’s most successful song,
peaking at

number 3 in South Africa’s Billboard charts,

and holding a top ten position for several weeks also in

Denmark and Norway.

Even today monetary funds are received from GEMA for frequent broadcasting in these countries.

In June 2007, *CENTURY-Kleeblatt* occurred in Randers (Denmark) on the "Radio Alfa Summer Open Air 2007" among others alongside bands like *Smokie*.

Television appearances: „Die aktuelle Schaubude“ and „ZDF Drehscheibe“

1.
So you say you`ve seen Marie – and you say she`s still alone
does she ever think of me – is she ever coming home
Yes I hope she`s doing well – and I hope she`s safe and warm
and she`s found a nice hotel – to keep her from the storm
Chorus:
The face in the mirror – could never ever be me
the vision is clearer – I see myself holding Marie
We could have been happy – together
a king and a queen
the face in the mirror – I fear, it`s only a dream
2.

And does Jenny miss her dad - such a precious little jewel
and I`ll bet she`s really glad – that she`ll soon be starting school
so in case you see Marie – and she`s tired of being alone
say hallo again for me – and tell her to come home

Chorus:
The face in the mirror – could never ever be me
the vision is clearer – I see myself holding Marie
We could have been happy – together
a king and a queen
the face in the mirror – I fear, it`s only a dream
Bridge:
My ivory tower – so lonely and cold
my money and power – is nothing but gold
too cold – to hold yeah
Chorus:
The face in the mirror – could never ever be me
the vision is clearer – I see myself holding Marie
We could have been happy – together
a king and a queen
the face in the mirror – I fear, it`s only a dream
